I can’t even remember the last time there was a cute little baby face up on the CNP blog or the last time I blogged this much for that matter haha. I will say though, I’m so glad I finally added blogging into my workflow system this year. It took a lot of figuring out don’t get me wrong haha but I’m finally at a point where I’m able to make it happen!
Something that I enjoy offering throughout the year is family sessions for friends or people that I already know. There’s just something special about already having a connection formed with someone for these type of sessions since they are so personal. It may be also the fact that I’m a wedding photographer and my whole business is focused on forming relationships with my couples throughout their wedding planning journey instead of being just a hired vendor so by the time I capture them on the wedding day, they feel more like friends. With family sessions though theres not a whole lot of “bonding” time you get prior so having a connection already formed is something that I value deeply.
I’m really excited to share these sweet family photos of Rebecca, Dante and Gavin. A little back story… I’ve known Rebecca since I was literally in first grade and we even took dance classes together when we were in elementary school at some point haha. Although over the years we hung out with different people and our paths never really crossed much, over the last couple of years though we’ve attended some fun neighborhood BBQ’s together where we got to catch up on life! Long story short… My family is good friends with the Reil’s which live directly across the street from The Symon’s (Rebecca’s parents) on a few streets over. And the Reil’s and Symon’s are also good friends with our close neighbors, the Taylors so when the Taylor’s throw bbq’s, we all get together pretty much.
Rebecca and I must of went back and forth over emails and texts many times debating on if the weather was going to hold out or be warm enough for photos. NJ weather is just so wacky this time of year lol. So we decided to just go for it and hope for the best. On the way to the session, it went from super sunny to literally FL down pour but by the time I arrived to Washington Crossing Historic Park, the sun was coming out and the ground was just about dry enough. I’m so glad it worked out and I was able to capture these sweet moments of them. Gavin, as you can tell was just full of smiles and giggles for photos; Rebecca said he has a thing for blonds lol so I guess it was a good thing I wasn’t a brunette haha.
This one is def. a favorite!
AHH too cute!!
