Navy Blush Romantic Shore Wedding

Last Saturday I kicked off offical wedding season down the shore at the newly renovated, Icona Golden Inn!! Whomever their creative design team was must of had photographers hearts in mind because there were white walls everywhere, neutral decor and plenty of natural light which is the most ideal setting for shooting bridal details and prep in inside.

The whole week leading up I was stalking the weather report probably way too much haha. When I saw the rain wasn’t going to change, I decided to arrive even earlier than I normally would, just to scope out every possible location that was covered or indoors. Some of my most favorite past weddings were actually on rainy days, go figure! Rainy wedding days force you to get really creative and think way out of the box which I love!

Ashley picked, Michelle from Primerose to design her florals which I was super excited about! I’ve admired their beautiful floral designs for years and it was so nice to finally work with her. When you have your 3 favorites all in one bouquet, Peonies, Succulents and Eucalyptus leaves; I mean can it get any better?

I loved the back of Ashley’s Essense of Australia dress with the pretty embroidery and buttons. After she was in her dress, she shared some really sweet moments with her mom and than we brought dad in for a first look which was so special! And then the rain stopped just in time for Ashley to share a first look with Mike on the beach YAY. There was a little private beach path that was thePeonies, Succulents and Eucalyptus leaves perfect spot. We managed to get so many portraits done before the ran started back up again. Its times like these when engagement sessions really come in handy. We were on a little time crunch with the rain and we were also a little behind on timing however since Ashley & Mike knew exactly how to get into their poses already and work really quickly it was no problem. When the rain started back up we quickly headed back and finished the rest of their portraits inside with their bridal party. There was this pretty hallway that had a lot of natural light flowing in, the most adorable blue couch and a painting that matched the wedding colors so we took full advantage.
