While I'm currently based in Virginia Beach, VA and serve Hampton Roads, Richmond, Williamsburg, Northern VA, Charlottesville, & Beyond.
I have another home of residence in Frederick, MD where I serve the Maryland area and Northern Virginia. I shoot a limited amount of weddings in the New Jersey area throughout the year (May-October) since that is where my family lives and where I started my business.
There is no travel fee for weddings or engagement sessions within 60 miles from my VA, MD or NJ office. If your wedding or locations exceeds this, I will work with you to determine the appropriate fee to cover my travel expenses.
I’m open to shooting all types of weddings but outdoor weddings is more my style of shooting since since i shoot mostly in natural light. Historic Inn's, Manor's, Mansion's, Estate's, Vineyards or Wineries, and Farm's are my favorite!
Yes! I absolutely love traveling and if I will already be in a location you're interested in there's no travel fee!
No and the reason being is that in order to give you the best wedding photography experience possible, I need to ensure that we’re a good fit for each other and that we connect on a personal level. I understand my style or approach may not fit the needs of every bride and groom, and that’s ok! It’s important that my shooting style compliments your wedding look! If I believe we aren’t a good fit, I would be happy to help find you a photographer that is!
Because I focus on giving my couples an overall wedding experience from start to finish; I don't offer these sessions outside of wedding collections. The reason being is that its much more valuable to have an engagement session done with your actual wedding photographer since it will benefit the quality of your wedding photos.
If you're eloping or celebrating a small vow renewal, I would be happy to create a mini collection for you.
All 2nd shooters are hand selected by me and they are all working professional photographers with similar shooting styles.
My turn around time is 8-10 weeks for weddings.
I typically book weddings 12-15 months in advanced. Occasionally I will book weddings last minute if I still have availability left. To guarantee wedding dates, it’s always best to book sooner rather than later.
YES and I would be happy to provide your wedding venue with a copy of my insurance!
Yes! All wedding collections include two photographers so that I can ensure everything is well documented.

Yes! I LOVE to traveling for weddings! I've shot destination weddings in and out of the country. I associate shoot weddings in Iceland throughout the year also. Please inquire for destination collections!
No can do sorry! You're paying me to produce art, and editing is half of that job! I only deliver images that are fully custom edited in High Resolution JPEG.
Since these sessions are complimentary gifts with the wedding experience, they cannot be substituted or deducted for any amount of money. I offer these as apart of the wedding experience because I believe they truly make a big difference in the overall quality of your wedding photos. This time is so valuable since it allows me to get to know you, see how you both connect with each other, practice posing and make sure you're comfortable being in front of the camera before the wedding day. If you had a session done prior with another photographer I still strongly encourage having an session done with your wedding photographer.
While I don't have an exact magic number of images that I deliver since every wedding varies in hourly wedding coverage, amount of details and size. However on average I deliver about 120 images per hour of shooting and you can expect about 900-1500 images in your wedding gallery and 150 for your engagement gallery.
You will be granted full-printing rights with your images with your online gallery and you can print them anywhere, as many times as you’d wish, and share your images with whoever you would like. The full copyright does remain with me, meaning, you cannot submit your images for publication or sell them for advertisement/profit (magazine, book, wedding blog, etc.) or re-edit them without my permission and knowledge.
I usually duplicate a handful of images into black and white. However sometimes if your church has very harsh overhead lighting, color casting or your DJ/venue is using lots of colored lights or flashing spot lights, sometimes I will deliver certain images into black and white in light of those situations.
Most gardens, parks, historical sites, etc... will require some type of photography permit or fee for engagement sessions. Clients are held solely responsible for any entrance access fees or permits at any of their locations unless otherwise arranged with Christy Nicole Photography. This is the clients responsibility to make sure all fees and permits are taken care of prior to their scheduled session.
